Ormesby Hall - Middlesborough, England 

Sir James Pennyman managed to run through the fortune he inherited in 1770 in just eight years, spending his wealth on enlarging the Ormesby Estate. Unfortunately he was then obliged to surrender the property to the baliffs. This is a classic example of the simple Palladian style country house. 

The house is open to the public via the National Trust.
